Joel H. Bennett
Partner, Joel H. Bennett was former First Assistant Criminal District Attorney for Galveston County. He spent approximately fifteen years honing his skills in trial, case evaluation, and analyzing the law. He has vast experience in determining the legality of initial detentions, arrests, and search/arrest warrants. Many police officers and attorneys went to Mr. Bennett for advice on the law and how to proceed on cases. He was hand picked to handle some of the most serious and high profile cases during his tenure at the Galveston County Criminal District Attorney's Office.
In addition to being First Assistant, he has also worked in the Juvenile, Felony, and the Appellate Divisions of the Galveston County Criminal District Attorney's Office. He has handled juvenile matters ranging from skipping school to murder. He has written over 100 appellate briefs. The appellate briefs involved Constitutional issues, evidential matters at trial, sufficiency of the evidence, sufficiency of search and arrest warrants, and application of criminal statutes.
He brings the same dedication and hard work to his clients' cases; whether charged with or under investigation for assault, theft, drug charges, driving while intoxicated, fraud, juvenile cases, or any other felony or misdemeanor offense.
